Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) is a program that explicitly teaches students behavioral expectations in all areas of the school. Barrett has a School Climate Committee that works to ensure our school is a positive and supportive environment. Students are explicitly taught Barrett's four expectations (Use Kind Actions, Use Kind Words, Take care of our School, and Listen) and earn Panda Paws, our school-wide tickets, for exhibiting these behaviors.

Students can use their Panda Paws to attend PBIS dances, earn extra time with the encore specialists, or to visit the Panda Cart filled with new prizes each quarter. PBIS Challenges inspire all students in the school to work together to earn  school-wide incentives.
